InsuranceIR principal Heather J. Wietzel is an investor relations executive with more than 25 years of corporate, agency and consulting experience. With a proven track record of results, deep Wall Street connections and nearly two decades of expertise with property and casualty and life insurers, Heather provides publicly traded insurance companies with improved credibility and transparency and important strategic insight into resolving communications challenges, helping to foster stronger relationships between management and investors.
She founded InsuranceIR in 2009 after establishing and managing the stand-alone investor relations function for six years at Cincinnati Financial Corporation, a Standard & Poor’s 500 index member and one of the nation’s 25 largest property casualty insurance companies. The company’s first investor relations officer, Heather was recognized for her achievements by the investment community with her selection as a finalist for “Best Investor Relations Officer – mid to large cap” by IR Magazine in 2007.
Prior to that, Heather served as vice president and led the investor relations practice at what was then southwest Ohio’s largest public relations agency. Earlier in her career, she served as the director of corporate communications for Cincinnati Microwave and as a partner and account group supervisor for The Financial Relations Board, the nation’s leading investor relations agency at the time.
Heather earned a bachelor’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University. She is a current member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and a past member of the NIRI Senior Roundtable, as well as an active member of the board and past president of the Cincinnati Tri State NIRI Chapter. She blogs on insurance-sector investor relations issues and is a guest speaker at seminars and webinars on investor relations topics.
